ATLAS
Ameritech/ACI, Teaching,
Learning, and Sharing
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Anyone
who has been to one of the several ACI Workshops held throughout the state of
Illinois knows how exciting the collaboration is between institutions; the ACI
workshops held each year for faculty and staff offer a unique opportunity for
individuals interested in technology and education to come together to share
ideas. In an effort to continue
this collaboration, we have created ATLAS (Ameritech/ACI Teaching, Learning, and
Sharing: Online Teaching and Technology Journal) with the generous assistance of
an Ameritech Partnership Award. ATLAS
is an inter-disciplinary, cross-institutional on-line journal focusing on
teaching and learning with technology that will include a variety of articles
and an ongoing discussion page to continue the interactive conversation.
We are currently seeking submissions for the first issue of ATLAS.
We are interested in original essays that address innovative ideas,
advancements, challenges, and pedagogical suggestions for utilizing technology
more effectively in a teaching environment.
This semester we have been involved with the Ameritech/ACI program entitled, "Teaching and Learning Mentors" (TLMs). This has been an excellent opportunity to meet and exchange information with faculty and staff from other ACI schools. We are particularly excited about receiving manuscripts from the TLMs from each of the ACI schools.
Submissions

Techniques
These
