I have been teaching at McKendree since 1978. My specialties are gender, marriage & family, and the
sociology of sport. I live in Lebanon with my son, two dogs, and one cat,
but spend as much time as possible reading & relaxing at Carlyle Lake.
In addition to being a Professor of Sociology, I am the Coordinator of the
Center for Public Service, which supports faculty and students interested in service-learning and volunteerism.
My own volunteer service is currently with Food Outreach and Bethany Place, service providers to people living with HIV/AIDS.
