Psychology Department Faculty

The psychology department has four full time faculty members and excellent part-time professors who bring special expertise to their courses.  

Dr. Murella Bosse who has been with McKendree since 1973, teaches Experimental psychology, Senior Survey, and Clinical and Counseling.   Her research interests include creativity and critical thinking.  Her book on critical thinking is now in its second edition. 

 Dr.  Tami Eggleston joined McKendree College in 1996.  She teaches Introduction to Psychology, Social Psychology, Sport Psychology, Human Sexuality, and a graduate research methods class.  She is a certified consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and is on the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology registry.  Her research interests include sport psychology, pedagogical issues, social cognition, and technology in the classroom. 

Dr.  J.L.  Kemp was a McKendree college graduate and became a faculty member in 2000.  She teaches Child and Adolescent psychology, Adult Development, Introduction to Psychology, Theories of Personality, and Cross-Cultural psychology.  Her research interests involve issues of diversity and service learning.  She also does consulting addressing issues of diversity.
