Introduction
There are no objects of more importance to the history of civilization than the book. Welcome to a project celebrating the book's latest evolution, the eBook or electronic book (as opposed to the pBook or printed book).

And wait until you see the technological developments over the next few months! That's just one good reason why you should return to our website again and again. What you're seeing now is the culmination of years of research at McKendree College's Holman Library.

The site is arranged so that there is something for everyone, from the individual with only a casual interest to those who want to experience the cutting edge of technology. I'm proud to introduce you to a few creative minds who have already reached a high level of accomplishment. Whether you are a librarian, teaching faculty member, student, artist, educator, writer or technophobe, your familiar “book” world is rapidly changing, whether you participate or not.

Navigation is across the bottom and top of each page. Enjoy our online show.

Content Advisory
Please note that viewers may find some of the material objectionable, inappropriate or unsuitable for children (of all ages) because of its language, content, or imagery.

Due to the technical complexity and experimental nature of these artworks, you may experience difficulty in viewing them. We have endeavored to make the material accessible and appear as the creators intended, but some features may not be functional in every work.
