"Revelation"

The
Book of Revelation is a timeless, mysterious work that has been
interpreted by believers, scholars, writers and artists for centuries. In
this
context, my Revelation incorporates a concoction of electronic prints,
CD
jewel boxes and confetti, along with apocalyptic imagery from distinguished book
artists such as Albrecht Durer and William Blake.

Each
interactive “reading” of Revelation is an entirely new experience,
yet it is as inviting as any traditionally printed book. The text and
symbols are liberated from the printed page. Control of the order is
shifted away from the creator and is, instead, subject to the physical
manipulations of the viewer.
Revelation
is currently on display in the
"Impact of YLEM: 20 Years of Art, Science & Technology”
exhibition at the SOMARTS Gallery in San Francisco. Much of the show can
be explored via the Internet over the coming weeks
at YLEM.
